The Roborock S7 vs S6 MaxV are similar but different. People get confused when they buy and don’t know which one to choose?
In appearance, the Roborock S7 vs S6 MaxV is almost identical. First, they are the same size. Second, they all have a lidar, three buttons, and an LED indicator. The difference is that the S6 MaxV also has a front-facing camera that can watch cleaning, identify obstacles and take pictures in real time.
They have the same suction power, both 2500Pa. Good cleaning of pet hair and scraps of paper. But if we’re picky, the S7 performs slightly better than the S6 MaxV. Because the cleaning brush is different, the S7 is all rubber and does not easily tangle hair, and the S6 MaxV brush roller is made of a mixture of bristles and rubber parts, which may tangle some hairs that are not easy to clean.
The S7’s sonic vibration technology does this job better, automatically lifting the mop to vacuum the carpet when it senses it, so as not to wet the carpet. In contrast, the S6 MaxV’s technology is not so advanced. It can clean the floor, but stubborn stains are not easy to remove. For families with mixed noodles, the S7 is the best choice and the most convenient to use; But for hard floor homes, both work fine.
The S6 MaxV includes a built-in camera that helps to identify and avoid objects. If there are socks, shoes, or other small items on the floor, the S6 MaxV may avoid them. Because the S7 doesn’t have this camera, it doesn’t avoid obstacles very well, and it’s possible to push them along.
This is not a comparison, but to let people who want to buy know that the S7 supports self-emptying. Once the cleaning process is complete, it will drive back to the charging cradle on its own. Not only that, but it also empties the garbage into a separate garbage bag, which can store dust for up to 8 weeks. The S6 MaxV, on the other hand, does not automatically empty the base. Therefore, you have to manually empty the dirt container once or twice a week, depending on how dirty your home is. In addition, the dirt container on the S6 MaxV is slightly smaller than the S7.
Two bots share the same Roborock application. They all support multi-level mapping, so you can remember four maps in your home. You can also draw “no-go zones” on the map to prevent robots from going where you don’t want them to go. In addition to these, the S7 has some unique features when it comes to mopping, including sonic mopping, deep cleaning, carpet handling, and more. Instead, the S6 MaxV has some exciting features such as obstacle detection, voice messaging, and remote monitoring that can use the robot as a surveillance camera.
Currently, the S7 is priced at $650 and the S6 MaxV is priced at $750. However, if you choose to buy an S7 and add an additional $300 to add from the empty base, the S7 is also a good choice.
Both Roborock S7 vs S6 MaxV robots are good helpers for families. Which is better for you depends on which features you want to add to your smart home.
If you have kids or pets, the S6 MaxV is ideal for you because it has a better navigation system. But if you want auto-empty bin support, or a more advanced mopping experience, choose the S7.
